INTRODUCTION

It is with profound honor and pride that I present the 2022-23 Philadelphia Eagles Community Impact Report. While we continue to move forward with an eye to the future, it is important that we take time to reflect on the past, celebrate the accomplishments that came along the way, and thank those who traveled on the journey with us. Thinking back to the 2022 season, I am reminded of how special a year it was. From clinching the NFC East Division to winning the most regular-season games in franchise history to being crowned NFC Champions, it took a lot of hard work and dedication from every member of the organization. While things did not end the way we had all hoped for, I am still incredibly proud of this team and the way our fans, partners, and community rallied around us all year long. Without you and the unwavering support we receive from Eagles fans everywhere, our impact on the world around us would not be as far reaching as it is. Your passion and energy fuels our coaches and players, not just on game day, but every day. We say this a lot, but I want to express how incredibly thankful we are for that support. It is what drives us to be the very best at what we do on the field, in the community, and as representatives of this tremendous city. As many know, Nick Sirianni has five core values that have guided his coaching journey in the National Football League: Connect. Compete. Accountability. Football I.Q. Fundamentals. While they all equally contribute to the process, he spends a lot of time focusing on the importance of connecting. That is what we strive to do with you and our extended Eagles family. Fostering authentic, collaborative relationships can establish a strong culture, build community, and inspire you to go above and beyond for the people around you. I also want to take a moment to personally recognize and thank our players for being great leaders on the field and stewards in the community. Their commitment to service and the personal causes that motivate them are changing the world. We are truly grateful to have them here and appreciate their collective effort to continually uplift and give back. On behalf of the Philadelphia Eagles, thank you once again for your support. We hope the pages that follow make you proud of the work we do and inspire others along the way.

INNOVATION & STEWARDSHIP

The Eagles believe there is no offseason when it comes to good citizenship. Throughout the year, the team collaborates with local nonprofits and partners to deepen their impact in the community. Since Jeffrey Lurie became Chairman and CEO in 1994, the Eagles have made it a priority to strengthen and support the Greater Philadelphia region, as well as communities around the world, through a commitment to giving back. Under Lurie’s leadership, the Eagles have always served as proud community stewards. They do this by forming impactful community partnerships, hosting a variety of networking and philanthropic events, reducing their environmental footprint through the award-winning Go Green program, and contributing resources to fund cutting- edge autism research and care programs.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that one in 36 people living in the United States are on the autism spectrum. While it has become one of the fastest-growing developmental disorders in the country, it has historically been underfunded, misunderstood, and under-researched. Championed by Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie, the Eagles Autism Foundation is dedicated to raising funds for innovative autism research and care programs. Since 2018, more than $22 million has been raised thanks to the generosity of those who have proudly supported the cause in Philadelphia and beyond. By providing critical resources and supporting scientific discoveries, the Eagles Autism Foundation is creating a major shift from awareness to action. In partnership with leading institutions specializing in autism research, the Eagles Autism Foundation is bringing fresh ways of thinking to the medical field. Through year-round fundraising events and initiatives, including the Eagles Autism Challenge, Radiothon, Huddle Up for Autism, Training Camp public practices, 50/50 raffle, and more, every dollar raised supports cutting- edge autism research and care programs. The Foundation has even helped make the experience at Lincoln Financial Field more inclusive by providing guests with a dedicated sensory room, sensory bags, and visual schedules. To ensure that the most qualified projects are being funded, an independent peer review panel comes together every year to evaluate and approve all basic and clinical proposals submitted by the world’s most progressive autism research institutions. As a result of this comprehensive review process, 83 research projects and community grants specializing in the treatment and care of individuals and families affected by autism have been funded by the Eagles Autism Foundation. DIGITAL EDUCATION The Eagles partner with organizations on a variety of interactive programs that help to broaden the knowledge and leadership skills of students in the region. These connections are made online through programs such as Character Playbook, 306 Program, Playbook for Wellness, STEM Scholars Program, and the Firstrust Bank Entrepreneurs Game Plan program.

306 PROGRAM The 306 Program, powered by EVERFI, is an immersive educational tool that delivers African-American history to students in an engaging way. Many important aspects and traditions of American life have been directly influenced by the trailblazing path forged by African-American pioneers. This program takes participants on a historical journey, highlighting the visionaries of this era and their mark on American art, entertainment, science, academics, and the social movement.

UNDERSTANDING MENTAL WELLNESS Understanding Mental Wellness intro– duces students to concepts related to mental health, from the science of mental health to coping and help-seeking strategies. Increasing mental health literacy is linked to decreased stigma, increased help-seeking behavior, and more awareness of mental health resources. This year’s program reached 2,350 students in 32 schools for 2,033 hours of learning.

STEM SCHOLARS PROGRAM To inspire the next generation of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) leaders, the Eagles and Braskem have launched the STEM Scholars Program in Philadelphia-area schools. Through the team’s multi-year sustainabil- ity-focused partnership with Braskem, students are equipped with the tools needed to become engaged and productive leaders in society. The program also encourages students to collect and recycle bottle caps through a “Capetition,” which highlights the benefits of closed-loop recycling and environmental sustainability.

CHARACTER PLAYBOOK Character Playbook, powered by EVERFI and in partnership with the United Way, is an innovative digital learning experience that uses evidence-based strategies to educate students on how to cultivate and maintain healthy relationships. Eagles players annually participate in Character Playbook virtual sessions with area-based schools to teach students the basic principles of conflict resolution and positive character development to support their overall growth during the most critical years.

FIRSTRUST BANK ENTREPRENEURS GAME PLAN PROGRAM As part of an ongoing effort to equip students with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed decisions on their financial futures, the Eagles and Firstrust Bank expanded the reach of their digital learning program in 2022. Entrepreneurs Game Plan powered by EVERFI is a fully integrated, interdisciplinary program that uses case studies, interactive business simulations, and personal development activities to prepare students for a bright and prosperous future. Students from area-based schools competed in a business pitch challenge judged by members of the Eagles and Firstrust Bank. Out of 35 business pitches, the top seven teams were selected to present their ideas at Lincoln Financial Field’s Firstrust Bank Club on April 26. The finalists included high school students from Cherokee, Cherry Hill West, Springfield, West York Area, and William Penn. To prepare for the challenge, each team was assigned a coach from the Eagles and Firstrust Bank. Chic Masks, a makeup removal face mask business created by students from Springfield High School, earned the top spot in the pitch challenge and scored $2,500 for their school. Prize money was also distributed to the second place ($1,500), third place ($1,000), and remaining teams ($500).

The Eagles, who wear the color “green” with pride, are committed to serving as proud environmental stewards for the community that gives so much to them throughout the year.

COMMUNITY CLEANUP PROGRAMS

COMPOSTABLE STRAWS With Aramark’s help in 2018, the Eagles became the first team in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex to phase out traditional plastic straws for a plastic alternative made from 100% renewable resources. This helps eliminate the use of roughly 500,000 plastic straws annually. CLOSED-LOOP RECYCLING PROGRAM As partners in recycling, the Eagles and Braskem collect bottle caps and other plastic products and turn them into new material for use at Lincoln Financial Field through a closed-loop recycling program. Some featured items include a six-foot tall replica Lombardi Trophy, bicycles, pellets

New this year, the Eagles and The Bellwether District teamed up to launch the “Touchdowns for Sustainability” program. For every touchdown the Eagles scored during the 2022 season, The Bellwether District invested in community cleanup programs throughout Philadelphia. In total, $75,000 was awarded to environmental nonprofits in the Philadelphia area. The recipients included: Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Center for Health Equity, Ecosystems Education Center & Freshwater Mussel Hatchery in partnership with Bartram’s Garden & the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary (PDE), and Gray’s Ferry Parks (Friends of Stinger Square Park, Friends of Lanier Park, Finnegan Playground). CYCLE REVERSE VENDING MACHINES The Eagles joined Anheuser-Busch’s National Recycling League – a multi- sports league coalition aiming to reduce waste on gamedays – by installing two Cycle Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) at Lincoln Financial Field. The installation made Lincoln Financial Field the first NFL stadium to utilize the machines, which are designed for beverage container recycling. OFFSETTING TEAM TRAVEL In 2022, with the help of The Ocean Foundation and Ocean Conservancy, the Eagles offset 100% of their team travel carbon emissions through seagrass and mangrove restoration in Puerto Rico’s Jobos Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. The Eagles are the first U.S. professional sports team to offset team travel through the support of the Ocean Conservancy’s Blue Playbook. SUSTAINABLE RAIN GEAR With the help of Braskem, the Eagles purchased sustainable rain ponchos to be used by Eagles Gameday Staff. Made from sugarcane ethanol, a renewable raw material that has a carbon-negative life cycle, the ponchos were produced by GreenGear Supply Company and can be reused or recycled through the Eagles Go Green program.

WATER CONSERVATION Since 2015, the Eagles have eliminated the use of more than one million plastic water bottles with the installation of water filtration fountains at the team’s facilities. In addition, the installation of simultaneous flush urinals throughout Lincoln Financial Field saved more than 5,000 gallons of water per event during the 2022 season. Through the nationwide Salute to Service campaign, the Eagles and the NFL have raised more than $58 million for military and veteran nonprofits to help fund programs and provide resources that improve the lives of service members, veterans, and their families. While Salute to Service events are highlighted specifically in November during the NFL season, the Eagles show their appreciation year-round by honoring service members and veterans with unique experiences and touchpoints.

OUR FEET ARE IN PHILADELPHIA, BUT THE CONNECTION WE SHARE WITH EVERY EAGLES FAN IS FELT AROUND THE WORLD. YOU CAN SEE HOW MUCH THEY GENUINELY CARE, SO WE ALWAYS TRY TO SHOW OUR APPRECIATION AND PAY IT FORWARD IN MEANINGFUL WAYS ON AND OFF THE FIELD.” — NICK SIRIANNI, EAGLES HEAD COACH

A FAN OF CHANGE ENOUGH KEEPING SCORE: ENDPHILLYGUNVIOLENCE.COM

According to Everytown for Gun Safety, more than 110 Americans are killed by guns every day. In Philadelphia, gun violence continues to be a major concern and has disproportionately affected underserved communities of color. Historically, two key contributors that fuel gun violence are poverty and unemployment. As part of the Eagles’ ongoing efforts to help combat the gun violence crisis in Philadelphia, the team launched a multi-faceted campaign focused on breaking these two cycles. The Eagles Social Justice Fund awarded $410,350 in grants this year to nine local nonprofits that provide financial education and support for violence prevention. Established in 2018, the Eagles Social Justice Fund was formed to provide grants to

organizations that work to reduce barriers to equal opportunity, with a specific focus on education, community, and police relations, improving the criminal justice system, and other initiatives targeting poverty, racial equality, and workforce development in the Greater Philadelphia area. The Fund is built through one-to-one matching donations from players and the club. To inspire hope within the community and drive engagement to the selected nonprofits, the Eagles also launched a targeted media campaign – A Fan of Change – to serve as an important call to action to end gun violence. The creative highlighted Eagles players and leaders from many of the chosen nonprofits who serve as influential voices in their respective communities.

NATIONAL GUN VIOLENCE SURVIVORS WEEK In honor of National Gun Violence Survivors Week (February 1-7), the Eagles released a video featuring local Philadelphia resident, poet, and survivor, Ja’Nell Hall- Ragin. EAGLES SENSORY ROOM

As part of an ongoing commitment to provide an inclusive and accommodating experience at Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles became one of the first sports franchises in the country to build a state-of-the-art sensory room in their home venue. In 2019, Lincoln Financial Field was certified as a sensory-inclusive stadium by KultureCity, a leading nonprofit recognized for using its resources to revolutionize and effect change in the community for those with sensory needs. The Eagles Sensory Room presented by Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is a 500-square-foot space that has been carefully designed by top medical professionals to ensure a quieter and more secure environment for guests with sensory challenges. The Eagles worked with KultureCity to transform the Super Bowl LVII experience into a sensory-friendly event for guests. Built in just two weeks, State Farm Stadium’s sensory room is now a permanent structure in the facility and was the first space of its kind to be offered at a Super Bowl venue. This commitment to inclusivity has inspired others to take action as well, with 17 NFL stadiums now offering a sensory room to guests.
