2022-2023 Eagles Impact Report

WEAR ORANGE In June, the Eagles joined the national Wear Orange campaign to commemorate survivors and those who have fallen victim to gun violence. BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS INDEPENDENCE To support the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence, the Eagles and Lincoln Financial Group announced a partnership with the regional program to help recruit 100 adults as mentors. The partnership included youth football clinics, tours of Lincoln Financial Field, Eagles tickets, education around Eagles business operations, player PSAs, fan engagement events, and more. The goal of the program is to ignite potential in youth by providing them with one-to-one mentoring relationships and exposing them to new opportunities and experiences. BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS INDEPENDENCE In partnership with the PA Department of State and supporting nonprofits, the Eagles continued their voter education and registration promotion to ensure everyone has the opportunity to cast their ballot. A ballot drop-off was hosted at Lincoln Financial Field in May for the primary election to provide registered voters in Philadelphia with a safe, secure, and convenient way to cast their ballot.

INSPIRE CHANGE CHANGEMAKER AWARD The inaugural “Inspire Change Changemaker Award” was presented to Dr. Ruth Abaya for her work in addressing the youth gun violence crisis in Philadelphia and identifying the most promising practices for violence prevention and intervention. Dr. Abaya is an attending physician in the ER at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and a practice-based scholar at CHOP’s Center for Violence Prevention. The NFL established the Inspire Change Changemaker Award in 2022 to highlight community leaders in each NFL market who are working to advance social justice. As part of the honor, Dr. Abaya received a $10,000 donation from the NFL Foundation, which supported the social justice nonprofit of her choice.
